Sources said that the phablet will bring four new camera modes: Wide Selfie, Selfie mode, Selfie Alarm and Create GIF File. As the names suggest, three of them will be dedicated to selfie. The Wide Selfie is for wide-angle selfie shots. The Selfie mode captures the image when you smile or wink. Selfie Alarm makes it easier to snap a selfie using the rear camera by automatically detecting your face and capturing the image. The Create a GIF File will let you make animated GIFs of your photos.

Galaxy Note 4 coming with Side Touch feature

The Galaxy Note 4’s camera will also sport optical image stabilization. It is expected to have all the standard camera modes introduced with the Galaxy S5 such as Selective Focus, HDR Live and Fast Auto Focus. Sources told SamMobile that the Note 4 will sport a 16MP Sony IMX240 rear camera. It will be capable of recording ultra HD video with 3840×2160 resolution.

What’s more, Samsung will upgrade the front-facing camera in the Galaxy Note 4 to 3.7MP, up from 2.1MP in its predecessor. AnTuTu benchmarks also showed a 3.7MP front camera for the device. The forthcoming phablet will also pack some new features. It will have Side Touch, a side-mounted built-in sensor on the bottom right of the phone. It will work as an invisible camera button. Another new feature is a gesture-based method to for accessing camera when the screen is off.

The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to come with 3GB RAM, an iris scanner, virtual reality (VR) headset, UV sensor and ultrasonic cover.

  1. Oh OK, good luck revising…But why did you write that twice?? But anyway don’t come onto tech sites every 5 minutes to check if someone replied to you, just don’t get on with your revision.

  2. Yep – I don’t find anything complicated in Android either. Its really simple. It just have more options than an iPhone which may make the experience a little more complicated than an iPhone. About the updates, Samsung is doing the best when it comes to update (at least they update their flagship devices) and hTC is doing good too but their UP is a dealbreaker. Good thing about iPhone is.. that their resale value is way better than any droid. An iPhone 5 (used) still costs $300+ in my country while I can get a brand new S3 for like $300. I will recommend him GS5 then or if he want to try then XZ2 because of excellent battery life and its camera is OK too (since he is not a pro-android user so he really don’t care about all the new features).

I too want a Note 4 but it is going to be damn expensive :(
I might get a Note 3 (which is still one of the best device) OR an iPad in the Q2 next year. I have to save a lot of money to get either of the device.
You should get a used Moto X or any device with 2GB RAM.
Moto G2 will come with 1GB RAM which I don’t think is good enough for droid.

    Bye. Talk you later.

  4. Well there really is nothing stopping him from using an Android as simple as an iPhone. There is this myth going around that Android is difficult to use but its really isn’t. If he is happy with his Galaxy, I don’t really see why he should move to iOS, unless he had major problem like a virus or an update Fucks things up (updates Fuck things up on iOS too, but Apple will provides an update to fix the Fucked up update, Sammy probably not). You also got to remember Galaxy phones are significantly cheaper than iPhones, even high end ones that drop significantly after a few months compared to iPhones.

And I want a Note 4!!! But I will probably get Moto G2, because contracts suck, and Note phones are soo expensive here, contrary to what I said above, Notes cosy more than iPhones over here, while Galaxy S’s cost as iPhones until a new iPhone launches.

  5. He is just a simple Android user. I don’t think he really knows about launcher and icon packs.. that’s why he like iPhone. He like iPhone because of ‘simplicity’ and ‘ease of use’. And nope, he hasn’t invested $$$ in either of the platform as most of the apps that he needs are free on both of the stores so investment isn’t a issue. He is currently using a Galaxy, before that he had an iPhone and he likes both of them.. or may be iPhone more because of as I said ‘simplicity’.

I will wait for iPhone’s battery life first and then I will recommend him.. iPhone generally have low battery life and that’s what matters the most (at least to me).

12th September. Okay, date noted. Yep – I will keep an eye.

What are your plans about upgrading the phone?

  6. It really depends on how invested he is in the Apple ecosystem. If he is use to simplicity, spent lots of $$$ on apps, and likes an iPhone, then he should get another iPhone. If he wants change, features, customisation – then he should give a high end Android phone ago.

And probably the 12th September! Just keep an eye out on the main page daily.

  7. Yes, the most revolutionary phone of the year. I really have high hopes for iPhone this time. You may won’t believe this but I have recommended Galaxy Alpha to my cousin who wants to buy a small but a proper flagship.. but I think I should recommend him GS5 (because Galaxx devices are trst worthy and he don’t have any problem with te design) or may be iPhone (he is an iFan). Alpha doesn’t hold any advantage over GS5 except being prettier (Oh! its x% faster and whatever).

When is iPhone going to be launched?

  8. Fuck! That’s bad! But concentrate your exams, you really wont miss anything you haven’t seen before…But hey atleast you’ll be free for iPhone launch!

  9. I don’t think anyone of them will get banned. Both of them don’t use any foul language.. but the fight is always funny. I laughed really hard when I read Dh Dog’s comment ‘Me no like ‘unexpectedly’ and ‘force close’ button’. LOL

At least SEN has got someone else to fight with lol

  10. Yep, that’s why I was off since last three days. I even deactivated my Facebook account.

I am going to miss the epic fights which will happen on the IFA days.. as my first exam is on 4th of September and on the same day Note 4 and many other devices will get released.. :(

  11. Yep. I should be. I have visited GSMA after like 3 days. I was studying like 8-10 hours straight since morning.. so I taking some rest now. That’s why I am here :)

I will get free on 12th of September so I will be back on 12th of Sept. I saw Chuck wished me and you and DH Dog upvoted. So I want to say ‘thank you’ :)

  12. Haha probably true…And DH Dog doesn’t really comment much on weekends…

Did you see my edit?? Shouldn’t you be revising for an exam??

  13. Oh. I guess all he does is Google ‘Note 4’ and comment on each and every website that comes up on Google search. lol

Where is DH Dog? I can’t see any of his comment in the recent articles..

  14. smh I hope they don’t waste their $$$ on this selfie thing…Its like over the past year people suddenly realised their phones had a front facing camera…
