Apple Inc. Pushes iOS 7.1 Out To The Public

The general public is now able to download iOS 7.1, which is the latest version of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s mobile operating system. The new version of the operating system fixes a number of complaints users have had and adds some new elements to the user interface.

Apple releases iOS 7.1 after beta

This version of the operating system came out about a month after the last beta version of it came out and before the Gold Master version. In most cases, the beta goes to developers ahead of the Gold Master version, which then gets released to the public. However, this time around, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) released the Gold Master build and released the beta to the public.

The company has reportedly been planning to roll out iOS 7.1 in the early to mid-March time frame for quite some time. iOS device users can either download the updated operating system over the air or through iTunes.

iOS 7.1 fixes bugs

This is the very first major update to iOS 7, which came out in September along with the new iPhone 5S. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has greatly improved the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The company also added support for CarPlay into this new version.

In addition, users will notice a number of visual changes, like revamped shift and caps keys on the keyboard and also refined Phone, Messages and FaceTime icons. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has also redesigned parts of the dialer and the shutdown screen. In addition, the company improved accessibility with the addition of a Button Shapes option, which tells users where the tappable areas of the screen are located. There is also an option to darken the colors on the handset and the option to reduce iOS 7’s white point under the Contrast setting.

Other enhancements which are part of iOS 7.1 include adjustments to Siri and iTunes Radio and a new camera setting which will automatically enable HDR on the iPhone 5S. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) also disabled the evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak with a patched.
