Better connectivity: The next generation of wifi has arrived and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is nowhere to be seen. The firm was slow to pick up LTE, so there’s no guarantee that ac wifi will be included in the iPhone 6, but fans can hope.
More storage: Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) still only offers a max of 64 GB of storage with the iPhone. The smartphone is becoming the principal computing device and the center of some people’s lives. They want to see at least 128GB of storage in the iPhone 6.
Better battery life: The iPhone 5S slightly improved the longevity of the smart phone, but the iPhone 6 needs to have a longer battery life. Whatever technology the company uses to make this happen doesn’t matter, people want an iPhone that lasts a week.
Apple infrared control: Rumors are flying that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is moving to home automation. To make that work the company should put infrared in the iPhone 6 in order to let users control televisions and other systems with the smartphone.
Boost camera quality: The camera in the iPhone is almost perfect, and it beats most point and shoot models out there today. The company should boost the quality to make the iPhone 6 the obvious choice for people looking at a DSLR for hobby purposes. The iPhone 6 shouldn’t have a camera, it should be a camera.
Better build construction: The iPhone and iPhone 5S are much less fragile than the near entirely glass iPhone 4S. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) should be looking into using some harder materials in the iPhone 6 to make the phone close to indestructible. An unbreakable smartphone with waterproofing is what many people need, and Apple should deliver with the iPhone 6.
Enterprise software: This isn’t for everyone, but investors would love if Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) could make the iPhone 6 a work tool rather than another smartphone. Most users would ignore the changes, but some would appreciate a range of baked in enterprise features. It would make Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) the obvious choice for many companies now that Blackberry Ltd. (NASDAQ:BBRY) has fallen off the face of the earth.
Bring back the magic: This is what everybody wants. If Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) could make the iPhone 6 the coolest device to have, the smartphones would fly off of the shelves and unnecessary upgrades would be justified. The iPhone 6 should be magic. Only Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) knows how to make that happen.

The iPhone 6 will not have all of these features. Building a smartphone is a question of balance, and all of these features would clash for space, weight, battery life, and many other limited resources. The iPhone 6 is likely to be the best iPhone that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has ever released. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) won’t let the iPhone 6 defy physics or margins, however.
