Samsung Introduces Iron Man-Themed Galaxy S6 Edge

Updated on

Samsung is getting into all the action thanks to its recent unveiling of the Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone. The limited edition handset comes in red and gold; it also features the hero’s face on the back.

The phone offers a few novelty features as mentioned above, but the device still manages to keep that Galaxy S6 Edge look and design. It features a 5.1-inch display, Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system, 5MP front camera, and 16MP rear camera. Other limited edition smartphones inspired by Nick Fury, Captain America, Thor, The Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are set to roll out in the future.

Details on the Samsung’s Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge

The device comes with a cool wireless charger accessory shaped like an arc. It also comes with a clear cover to protect the phone.

Samsung has yet to share the pricing details of the phone, but it did report the device will arrive in select countries. Unfortunately, the phone will be available in three countries including Korea (it arrives tomorrow), Hong Kong, and China. It will roll out in the latter two countries next month. Samsung’s vice president for global marketing, Younghee Lee said he is excited to offer a special edition of the smartphone.

The new phone is a product clever marketing, and it is bound to make serious Iron Man fans happy.

Samsung scores another interesting patent

In other Samsung-related news, the tech giant recently obtained a patent for dual smartphone-laptop hybrid complete with a phablet dock. The smartphone normally runs on Android but connect it to the laptop dock, and the device runs on Windows. Samsung clarified that it could also run on other operating systems.

The patent could change technology in a big way. However Samsung isn’t the only company considering hybrid devices. Asus has a PadFone smartphone/tablet device in the works, and it also features two operating systems.
