Of Permanent Value: The Story of Warren Buffett/2014 Endless Edition is a fully revised biography of the world’s greatest investor. This readable, highly entertaining book is divided into 342 newspaper story-like chapters with more than 1,300 large-sized pages and 2,000 photos, mostly in color. Thus, the name: Endless Edition. The work chronicles every aspect of Buffett’s life from his precocious youth to his rise as an elder statesman of business and philanthropy. Chapters are devoted to his famous annual meetings and to his one-of-a-kind annual reports. Other chapters look at his wit (“When I issue stock, I tend to break out in a rash.”) and wisdom (“Returns decrease as motion increases.”). About the Author
Andy Kilpatrick is a 1965 graduate of Washington & Lee University. He served in the Peace Corps in India for two years, earned a master’s degree in English from the University of Vermont, and was a U.S. Navy officer for three years. His 20-year career with newspapers In Birmingham, Alabama, included eight years as a business reporter. From 1992 until he retired in 2010, he was a stockbroker with Wells Fargo. Since then he has continued to write and write.
