iPhone 5: Newly Leaked Images Show Elongated Design

We have a photo of what the upcoming iPhone 5 could possibly look like. The latest rumored photos come from a Taiwanese Apple blog. These photos show white and black frames that are slightly longer than the previous model but features the same width. The rumor comes after previous rumors that the sixth generation iPhone would feature a four-inch screen instead of the usual 3.5 inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The leaked images also feature FaceTime camera in the center, it’s displayed in the front and the back of the phone. The iPhone 5 is reportedly in production and is expected to launch in stores sometime this fall.

There have been numerous rumors involving the  highly anticipated Apple gadget over the past few months. Many of these rumors regard the design of the new smartphone, and the date of it’s arrival. So far, nothing has been confirmed and Apple has yet to make any official announcement regarding the new phone.

It was just a few weeks ago that ValueWalk shared an interesting piece about how the iPhone 5 could replace wallets. It’s speculated that Apple will work with a payment processor similar to Citibank’s PayPass credit card transaction system, or they could become their own payment processor, like they already have with Apple’s iTunes/App stores.  The latter would make the most, since they already have millions of credit cards and debit cards on file in their system.

Another rumor recently circulated regarding this phone is that it could arrive as early as August 7th. This rumor was reported by KnowYourMobile, which said that the phone would be launched via keynote speech.

Right now nobody knows when, or even if the iPhone 5 will officially come out, but these endless rumors are a  pretty good indicator that something is brewing. For now, I think it’s safe to assume that Apple is going launch the iPhone 5 in October, just like they did last year. I also predict that it will feature a slightly different design than it’s predecessors, simply because Apple tends to offer generous upgrades with each new model.  I’m not really sure if any of these new design rumors are indicative of what it will look like, but I’m pretty sure that the new design will be impressive enough to garner attention. Apple is known for innovative design and their fans expect nothing less. Let’s just say, it’s probably going to be a big deal.
