The Most Lucrative Dating Apps

In the modern digital world, dating apps have become a very popular tool for people to use when searching for love, and with Valentine's Day coming up these apps will no doubt be downloaded more frequently in the lead up to the 14th.

Whilst you can use a lot of these dating apps for free, they also offer premium services in return for a fee, providing a major revenue stream in addition to ads for these companies.

With this in mind, decided to analyse the revenues and user bases of some of the most popular dating apps in the world and calculate their average revenue per user in order to reveal the most lucrative dating apps in the world.

In first place is, which also has the highest total revenue of all the apps that were analysed at $2.4bn from 96 million users with an average revenue per million users of $25m, which is 4 times higher than the average revenue per million users of second placed Zoosk who generates $250m from 40 million users.

Tinder by far has the largest user base with over 530 million users worldwide, however, their total revenue doesn’t match up to that of sitting at just $1.6bn, which places tinder 5th on the list. Badoo, which has the second largest user base at 318 million, is sitting at 14th place overall due to their revenue of just £100m.
