Nancy Munger, Wife of Berkshire’s Charles Munger, Dies at 86(from Business Week)

Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) — Nancy Barry Munger, the wife of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Vice Chairman Charles Munger, has died. She was 86.

The Los Angeles philanthropist and community leader died at home on Feb. 6, according to a statement released by the family.

She received a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1945 from Stanford University, where she served as a trustee and an overseer of the Hoover Institution. The Mungers’ philanthropic gifts included support for the Munger Research Center at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens, in San Marino, California, and the Munger Graduate Residence at Stanford.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by eight children and step-children.
