Every few years, Microsoft’s release of its newest operating system steals most of the spotlight in technology news. This year was the release of Windows 10 and the new Lumia 950 and 950 XL . We all know that Apple and Android dominate the market, but the Lumia gives Microsoft fans a reason to try a new smartphone powered by the latest Windows operating system. We decided to compare the Lumia with one of its biggest competitors – the iPhone 6s.
First, let’s take a look at what the Lumia has to offer. The XL has a larger screen than the basic 950 just like Apple offers a bigger screen with the iPhone 6s. The Lumia 950 has a 5.2” screen and the XL has a 5.7” screen, which is one of the larger smartphones on the market. Hardware technology changes just like the seasons, so the Lumia has the advantage of being the latest hardware. The Lumia is a brand new competitor while the Apple iPhone 6s was launched last year.

The real benefit is the Lumia’s camera. Lumia crushes the competition with a 20-megapixel camera while the iPhone 6 and 6s only offers 12 megapixels. For camera and video quality enthusiasts, this could be the deciding factor. The Lumia also has a better screen resolution to view those higher quality images.
