Police identified one of the men who brutally attacked and killed a soldier in a broad daylight outside the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London.
London Terrorst Suspect is Michael Adebolajo
According to British media, police raided a home in Saxilby, Lincolnshire, and identified one of the suspects as Michael Adebolajo, a 28 year-old born in the United Kingdom. Reports cited that security services knew the suspects.
According to one report, authorities also searched another house in southeast London suburb of Greenwich and took into custody two sisters in their 30s, an older woman, and a teenage boy.
Police shot the suspects during the arrest. The suspects were taken to the hospital. Authorities want to immediately question the suspects to find out if they acted alone, or if they have connection to a terrorist cell such as Al Qaeda.
The suspects invited witnesses on Wednesday to take a video of their crime. They reasoned that killing the victim is their way of showing their retaliation against the British troops present in Afghanistan and Iraq. Reports cited that the two suspects were raised by Christian immigrant families, but they appeared to have converted to Islam.
Scotland Yard confirmed that the victim was a serving soldier, but his name remained undisclosed. On Thursday, Prime Minister David Cameron said, “We have lost a brave soldier. The people who did this were trying to divide us. They should know something like this will only bring us together and make us stronger.”

Prime Minister Cameron also said, “We will never give in to terror or terrorism in any of its forms. This was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life. It was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country. There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act.”
The Prime Minister conducted an emergency meeting with the emergency response committee, which was attended by the head of the MI5, domestic intelligence agency, defense and interior ministers, head of the Scotland Yard, and London Mayor Boris Johnson to assess the response on the situation.
