iPhone 6 Black Friday Deals: Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy

Updated on

There are plenty of iPhone 6 deals for Black Friday, and smart shoppers will plan ahead. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) and Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) are just a couple of the major retailers that will have the iPhone 6 on sale on Black Friday.

As it turns out, Wal-Mart is offering a pretty sweet deal on the iPhone 6. The big box retailer has slashed $20 off the price and will give buyers a $75 gift card as well. This year Wal-Mart is actually lengthening its Black Friday, spreading it out over five days.

The sale starts on the day before Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, and stretches through Dec. 1, which is Cyber Monday this year. However, not all of the deals are offered every day, as the iPhone 6 deal doesn’t begin until Friday and goes while supplies last or through Nov. 30.

Wal-Mart’s discount on the iPhone 6 makes the 16-gigabyte model $179, and buyers get a $75 Wal-Mart gift card, which puts the end price at close to $100. That’s nearly half the iPhone 6’s regular price.

Target is also offering a similar deal, combining a $20 discount, although the Target gift card is only $30 instead of the $75 Wal-Mart is offering.

Black Friday deals from other retailers

Of course it’s always advisable to read the fine print on all of those Black Friday ads. For example, some stores are advertising that buyers can get an iPhone 6 for $0. However, they’re not actually getting it free because most of the offers have monthly payment plans for the phone. The amounts depend on the size of the phone and the mobile carrier.

Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE:BBY) is also running what looks like an attractive Black Friday deal for the iPhone 6. The ads show a 16-gigabyte iPhone 6 for $99. It comes with a 2-year contract and requires buyers to trade in a working iPhone with a minimum value of $100. For those who have an iPhone 4S older, this deal may be a good one, but those with newer iPhones may be able to get more than that for their old iPhones. As a result, it might be a good idea to just sell the old iPhone outright and then go buy the iPhone 6.
