Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) users have a lot to worry about. Many people using the social networking site are concerned about their privacy, whether Facebook sells their private data to advertisers, and other similar questions. And one crucial question is if Facebook tracks your searches like Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG). And if it does, how can you delete your Facebook search history?
Simple steps to deleting your Facebook search history
Kim Komando, who hosts a radio talk show on technology, answered that and many other questions during a Q&A session with USA Today. Komando said Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) tracks and records every search you make. To delete your search history, log in to your Facebook account and visit your Timeline page (by clicking your name on the top right corner). Now click on the Activity Log, and you’ll see Photos, Comments, Likes, etc on the left column. Below them, click on the More link, scroll down and hit the Search link. Now you can see every search you have made on Facebook.com. At the upper right, you’ll see Clear Searches. Click on that and your search history will be deleted.
Testing your cellular speed
If you want to test the speed of your Internet, simply visit Speedtest.net. It shows you the speed of your Wi-Fi and cellular connections. You can also test the speed on FCC’s app Speed Test. Through this, the FCC collects your Internet speed data to help users make informed decisions to keep Internet service providers honest, says Komando.
Should you buy an extended warranty?
Kim Komando says it’s not always good idea to buy an extended warranty. Most of the time, products break while still covered by the free factory warranty or after the extended warranty expires. In many cases, extended warranties don’t cover wear and tear, and other common damages.
