FBN continues to dominate CNBC see the latest rating numbers below

‘Lou Dobbs Tonight’ and ‘Varney & Co’ Continue as Cable’s Top Business Programs

FOX Business Network (FBN) dominated CNBC last week, sweeping the network across Business Day and Market Hours programming according to Nielsen Media Research. As the markets continued to lead national headlines throughout the week of March 12th-16th, FBN scored a 24 percent advantage over CNBC, averaging 226,000 business viewers compared to CNBC’s 182,000. In the 25-54 advertiser-friendly demo, FBN had a 19 percent advantage over CNBC with 31,000 viewers compared to 26,000. FBN also swept CNBC across Market Hours (9:30a-4p/ET) programming with 232,000 total viewers and 33,000 in the demo.

Lou Dobbs Tonight (7p/ET) and market-open program Varney & Co (9a-12p/ET) continued as cable’s top business news programs, earning the number one and two spots respectively across total viewers. Stuart Varney’s Varney & Co also was the top rated business program in the demo last week, averaging 43,000 viewers.

Additionally, FBN scored seven out of the top 10 news programs on business television with Dobbs, Varney, along with Countdown to the Closing Bell with Liz Claman (3p/ET), CAVUTO Coast to Coast (12-2p/ET) and Intelligence Report with Trish Regan (2p/ET) topping the list.
