FBN TOPS CNBC IN BUSINESS DAY VIEWERS ON MAJOR MARKET MOVING DAY

According to Nielsen Media Research, FOX Business Network (FBN) topped CNBC in Business Day viewers on Thursday, August 10th as the market dropped 200 points in reaction to rising tensions between the United States and North Korea. Averaging 190,000 total viewers, FBN saw a 21 percent advantage over rival CNBC in Business Day viewers, which had 157,000.

FBN’s Varney & Co. (9a-12p/ET) swept CNBC’s Squawk on the Street (9a-11p/ET) in both Business Day and a25-54 viewers in the 11a-12p/ET timeslot. Additionally, FBN’s Cavuto Coast to Coast (12-2p/ET), Risk & Reward (5-6p/ET),  and Lou Dobbs Tonight (7-8p/ET) all bested CNBC in their timeslots in total viewers.

Along with Dobbs, FBN’s Varney & Co. (9a-12p/ET) and Cavuto Coast to Coast (12-2p/ET), were among the 5 top rated business programs of the day in total viewers.
