European stocks rise at open; London up 0.73pc

European stocks rise at open; London up 0.73pcEuropean stock markets rose at the start of trading on Friday, the last trading day before the Christmas break, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.73 percent to 5,497.02 points.

Frankfurt’s DAX 30 climbed 0.90 percent to 5,905.18 points and in Paris the CAC 40 advanced 0.97 percent to 3,101.75 points.
