The Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist has marked the 10th anniversary of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria with a pledge of a further $750m in funding. Gates was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos after an earlier appearance at the London School of Economics where he urged national governments not to allow fiscal concerns to eclipse the need for continued investment in the developing world.
