Nintendo Switch Rumors: Pokemon Sun And Moon, Plus Launch Lineup Leaked

Updated on

Pokemon Sun and Moon are the biggest pre-selling games in Nintendo’s history, and according to rumors, a new version could be under development for the Nintendo Switch. We knew almost nothing about the console until recently, whereas today it looks as though Pokemon could be coming to a home console for the first time. Also leaked information about its launch day lineup has been revealed.

Nintendo Switch to get Pokemon Stars

Pokemon Sun and Moon could get a third version, and it could be under development for the Nintendo Switch now. That’s what Eurogamer suggests. Apparently, multiple sources have told the gaming site that a third game is in the works, it will be ready in 2017, and it goes by the name of Pokemon Stars.

While we don’t know if this is true, it is believable, especially if you take into account that earlier games saw a third one launch later. For example, Pokemon Yellow came third in line after Red and Blue. With Pokemon Stars, it could be that Nintendo wants to revive this practice, but for the Nintendo Switch.

Game Freak

It’s thought that the long-running Pokemon game developer Game Freak is developing the game for the Switch. Because this third game will be for a more powerful device, it’s rumored to feature better graphics at a higher resolution. Additionally, these rumors suggest it will keep the same maps, journeys and artwork as Sun and Moon, which keeps tradition with games like Yellow and Crystal, which shared similar features with Gold and Silver.

Trading Pokemon

Those looking for a reason to play the Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch or other handheld devices will be pleased to hear that Pokemon can supposedly between Pokemon Stars on the Nintendo Switch and Sun and Moon. Additionally, one rumor suggests the Switch version will have more collectible creatures. However, like all rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see if this one is accurate.
