Ford Motors Wonders If A President trump Will Impose Such High Traiffs

FORD MOTORS (NYSE:F) CEO MARK FIELDS TELLS FOX BUSINESS NETWORK THAT “IT’S A BIG HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION” REGARDING IF DONALD TRUMP WINS THE PRESIDENCY AND PUTS A 35 PERCENT TARIFF ON CARS MADE IN MEXICO

In an interview on FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Mornings w/Maria  (weekdays, 6a-9a/ET), host Maria Bartiromo spoke with Ford CEO Mark Fields about Donald Trump’s plan to put a 35 percent tariff on Mexico made cars. Fields said, “It’s a big hypothetical question” and “as always we look at the business environment on continuous basis and if we see the business environment change, clearly we are going to have to understand what that means for our business.”

On whether he will change his business model if Trump wins the presidency and puts a 35 percent tariff on Mexico made cars:

“It’s a big hypothetical question and right now we are running the business for the long term, as always we look at the business environment on continuous basis and if we see the business environment change, clearly we are going to have to understand what that means for our business, but it’s a big hypothetical. Let’s get through November 8 and let’s see who wins and then we’ll go from there.”
