Business users now have another reason to use Google’s email service. Gmail will automatically sync all events through Gmail to Google Calendar. Whenever a user receives an email containing information on flights, hotels, restaurants or tickets, the system will automatically post the information on their calendar. The feature will be enabled by default on desktop and mobile Google Calendar. Users have the choice to turn the feature off or manually remove events. If the Gmail user receives an update regarding an event, Calendar will automatically make changes based upon the update.

Google previously rolled out similar feature for iOS users

Earlier this year, Google finally began offering its Calendar app for iPhone users. Although iOS users could previously import Google Calendars into the standard iPhone calendar app or third-party app, this was the first time users could use their Google Calendars on their iPhones. The iOS app also came with features like the aforementioned Event from Gmail, the Assists autofill feature and the Schedule View scrollable format. The Schedule View format makes it easy for users to view the schedule at a glance, complete with photos and maps showing the places the user plans to visit. The Assists autofill feature also makes it easy to create events with smart suggestions.
