Treyarch just announced plans to release Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Nov. 6. Although the Call of Duty games are usually an annual event, open betas are not. The last CoD game with such a feature was with Call of Duty: World At War. This all will change with Black Ops 3 though, thanks to there being an open multiplayer beta available to those who preorder the game. The popular title will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Unfortunately, the game won’t be available for Xbox 360 or PS3.

The beta will likely come with three maps in varying sizes, but official details were not confirmed. Mark Lamia (studio lead for Treyarch) adds that the public MP beta will be available to everyone who preorders the game. They hope people will play the game before it is launched. The company is more than excited to offer the opportunity, something that has not been done since CoD: World At War.

A look at the new Black Ops 3 game
Black Ops III is set in the future where cybernetics and biotech have merged to create a new soldier. The game premise pushes technology to the limit, but does technology push back? The game lets players go inside the mind of one interconnected commando who is not only faster but also more lethal. The commando takes gamers on a four-player co-op campaign with redesigned game player experience.
Scott Lowe (Activision’s communications manager) explained that the new momentum-based chain movement system enables players to move more fluidly throughout environments while maintaining constant control of their weapons. The new game also includes a weapon customization system and specialization system.
