Samsung has revealed details on where you can live stream the event right from the comfort of your home. The Korean company has set up a YouTube live stream page, which currently shows a countdown timer. The Galaxy S6 launch event is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Barcelona time or 12:30 p.m. New York time. HTC will also unveil its forthcoming One M9 on the same day in Barcelona. HTC’s event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. New York time, and the Taiwanese company has set up a special live streaming page on its website. HTC’s and Samsung’s events will take place back-to-back. So, you can watch both events as they unveil their shiny new devices on Sunday.
Samsung’s marketing machine building up anticipation for Galaxy S6
Ahead of the launch, Samsung has released a series of teaser videos to hype it up. The company has also offered hints at the new features of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. U.S. telecom carriers such as Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T have posted promo images of the new Galaxy on their websites, promising to provide more information on March 1.
That’s not all. Samsung’s marketing team has put up a lot of hoardings all over Barcelona to build up anticipation, reports Chris Smith of BGR. While none of the marketing materials mention the name Galaxy S6, numerous leaks have confirmed that the new devices will be named Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
