When a user searches for a specific item or product, they will see a more detailed look at the item and information where to buy it. Such information can include which stores have it in stock and product reviews from real customers. Some products will feature images that can rotate a full 360 degrees so the items can be seen in more detail.

Jennifer Liu(Google’s shopping product manager) elaborated in a blog post, “This coming weekend, expect to see many of your fellow shoppers checking for deals on their smartphones while braving the lines and crowds at the mall. Nearly 50 percent of 25 to 34 year-olds use their phone to shop online while standing in line at a store.”

Google added that 27% of shoppers already started looking for Black Friday deals online. The internet has not only simplified the process of holiday shopping, it has also created a lot more competition both online and offline.
