Amazon “Kindle Unlimited” Leaks Online

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is apparently thinking of offering a Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX) style all you can read book service. Details of the service, which is apparently to be called “Kindle Unlimited” appeared on the company’s website briefly this afternoon. The appearance, which was apparently part of a test, was met with retraction as soon as the leak was discovered, but the pages have been recovered.

According to the release, which was picked up by Gigaom earlier this afternoon, Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is currently testing the service. Those tests may have resulted in the accidental publication of the pages on the web today. The service is apparently going to cost $10 per month, a good deal more than that currently charged by Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX) for unlimited video streaming.
