First, let’s talk about the good stuff. The OnePlus One uses standard screws to hold everything together. This means that you won’t need special tools to open up the device. Also many components are modular, which means you easily can replace those individual components without spending much.
Next, lets take a look at the the parts that iFixit didn’t like. There’s a slight adhesive used on the battery and several other cables, meaning they are more difficult to remove. Since the connector is trapped under a plastic panel and several screws, removing the battery also won’t be an easy task.
