Among the classes offered include “Interactive Storytelling with iBooks” and “Stories in Motion with iMovie”. The former program allows campers to create and design their own ebooks. They will also learn how to do illustrations on the iPad. The latter program lets users create movies. Kids learn how to create storyboards, film, create soundtracks, and put it all together on a Mac. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) requests that one adult accompany each child to the workshops.
Apple encourages young campers attending the iMovie workshop to bring their own cameras to class, however the classes will supply cameras for those in need. Space is limited for these camps, so families are encouraged to sign up right away.
Apple’s other technology program for kids
These summer camp programs are not the only youth oriented programs offered by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). Apple allows school field trips throughout the year where kids can come and work on fun projects or bring a project the class already created to turn the store into a theater. Apple prides itself as a company that wants to educate the future, and the company’s numerous free educational programs certainly help contribute to that goal.
The best thing about these summer camps is the fact they are free and equipment is provided, which means kids from all income levels can enjoy the fun and learn more about technology.
