iOS 8: Two Unique Features Users Would Love To See

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has reportedly started working on iOS 8, which is expected to debut with the iPhone 6 later this year. We reported earlier that users would like to see a new and improved notification system in iOS 8. The tech giant completely overhauled its smartphone operating system with iOS 7. So, we don’t expect iOS 8 to feature any significant UI or graphics changes. Anyway, AppAdvice has come up with two new iOS 8 features that fans would love to see. Here they are:

iOS 8 should at least respect uninstalled apps

The App Store is going to celebrate its 6th birthday later this year. The iDevice users have downloaded more than 50 billion apps since then. However, many of those downloaded apps are not installed on users’ devices. Instead, these apps silently wait in iCloud to be reinstalled. Users mostly delete an app due to boredom, lack of enough features in the app, or to save storage space. The app you uninstalled in 2012 might have gone through multiple updates since then. But the iPhone maker doesn’t give users a reason to reinstall those apps at a later date.

In iOS 8, users would prefer to see a feature that allows them to find recently updated apps, though they have been uninstalled. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) can make it possible by allowing users to “save” some apps on the home screen even if they aren’t currently installed on the user’s device. This way, users will receive a notification when the apps are updated, and they can decide whether to reinstall the apps.

Improve the dynamic wallpaper feature in iOS 8

Many users hate the dynamic wallpaper in iOS 7. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) needs to improve the feature. There are two ways to do this in iOS 8. One, add more stock wallpapers. And two, make is easier for users to add their own wallpapers.

Apart from these, the iOS 8 is expected to have a new app called HealthBook. It will be monitoring your health and fitness with the help of iWatch. What new features do you expect in the iOS 8? Share with us in comments below.
