BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) Enterprise Service or BES is safer than Samsung Knox, claims John Sims, the company’s new Enterprise Service chief. It seems like the troubled smartphone maker has adopted the strategy of verbal warfare to retain its market share in enterprise service.

Knox has limited compatibility

According to Sims, a university in Israel found some issues in the Samsung Knox, and said that BlackBerry enterprise or BES is far more secure. In a blog, Sims wrote that Samsung is still finding it hard to solve the bug issues in its enterprise platform for industries, which need most up-to-date security features.

“And that’s why we are the only enterprise mobility management vendor and handset maker that has received the Department of Defense “Authority to Operate” certification,” Sims wrote in the blog.

Sims stated that at present BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) owns 61% of the large enterprise mobile device management market. Knox security system is only compatible with Samsung handsets, whereas BlackBerry BES device management services are compatible with Android and iOS, and will soon be available on Windows Phone.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server is compatible with various devices thereby helping to merge the employees’ personal devices to the firm’s own email system, and will delete the data if the device is lost. The service can also regulate the device camera to ensure that it is in a dormant stage during office hours. The enterprise service also comes with security and encryption options together with unified communications, and BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) Balance work/home space separation
