Tavis McCourt analyst at Raymond James says the sales for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5 collectively outsold the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note, 219 million to 131 million respectively. He claims that he wanted to see the overall numbers of smartphones sold over the last two and a half years, that’s why he compiled this report.

The Galaxy S line has significantly increased the bottom line for Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) and put the South Korean tech company on the map. It also doesn’t hurt that the company also has a wide range of other smartphones and tablet computers which have captured consumer interest.
