Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2: An Old Friend Returns?

Updated on

A fan favorite could be making a return to Game of Thrones. The trailer for season 7 showed us some hints at what’s to come and there was a small scene that may have some fans excited. If the trailer isn’t trying to throw us for a loop then it appears Games of Thrones season 7 episode 2 could see the return of Nymeria, Arya’s direwolf.

Viewers will remember Nymeria best for the scene in which she took a bite out of Joffrey. That was all it took to make her a fan favorite. Of course, we haven’t seen or heard from her since then but it appears Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 is set to change that. However, it remains to be seen if Nymeria will play much of a role beyond a quick cameo.

If the season follows along with the books then we can assume that Nymeria has found a pack of wolves to lead. That would mean that any appearance in Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 will be short and sweet. If you’re a fan of Nymeria, don’t get your hopes up too much for a grand return of the character for the remainder of the season.

In the trailer for Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 we also see Lord Baelish in the middle of a fight. Given Game of Thrones’ penchant for killing off characters, could Lord Baelish be on the chopping block?

No matter which direction Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 chooses to go, there are a lot of plot lines from episode 1 with loose ends that need to be tied up at some point this season. There should be plenty of action to keep fans on the edge of their seat; not that anyone was worried about getting enough excitement from Game of Thrones.

Luckily for die hard fans, there isn’t much of a wait to find out is Nymeria returns and if Lord Baelish meets a gruesome fate. Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2 drops on Sunday, July 23rd. In the meantime, discussion about the trailer will have people buzzing throughout the week. We’ve posted the trailer below for you to analyze.
