Like the old days when we received iPhone rumors frequently, these days are going to be the days of Nexus 5 rumors and leaks. The smartphone is one of the most highly-anticipated phones for Android fans, and with it also comes the new version of Android called Android 4.4 KitKat.

Today, we’ve received a new unboxed photo of the Nexus 5, with its box on the side. This blue box has previously appeared in some leaks, and this is the box with which the Nexus 5 will ship with. Both the device as well as the box seem to be legitimate, and meshes with previous rumors.

The photo was posted on a PhotoBucket album, but the uploader has not powered on the device for unknown reasons. If it would have been powered on then it would have revealed more information on the device.

All these leaks point to only thing – the Nexus 5 is coming, and its release date is close at hand.

Nexus 5 tech specs

Previous leaks suggested that the Nexus 5 would come with a 4.95″ 1920 x 1080 display, 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat, 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB memory options. The device would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Apart from that, we can also expect all the standard features such as NFC, microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, etc.

Pricing of the Nexus 5 16GB model would be $349. For this price, the Nexus 5 surely packs a punch. Now that the release date is very near, we keep our fingers crossed to “officially” see the smartphone.
