The prestigious Ira Sohn Conference is set to take place on October 31st at the Marriott Hotel in London. As the conference is being held in the UK, some of the top European managers are scheduled to speak at the event. ValueWalk will give live coverage to the conference like we did for the Ira Sohn event held in New York this May.
Since the Ira Sohn Research Conference Foundation is meant to support charities and raise awareness regarding pediatric cancer, proceeds from the Ira Sohn London conference will be donated to Delete Blood Cancer and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, so it is for a great cause as well. Registration for the conference is open and a 25 percent discount is available for those who register before October 1st. More information can be found here.

Rob Citrone, the renowned Tiger cub and founder of Discovery Capital, is an emerging markets guru. His hedge fund manages close to $12 billion and follows a focused global macro strategy. Citrone’s smaller allocation, the Discovery Global Macro Fund, was up 17 percent in the same period. The hedge fund is long Japanese equities and USD, but is bearish on China, Brazil and India. Egerton European Equity Fund has done equally well with a +19 percent return in the same period (Source:HSBC Hedge Weekly).
