U.S. politicians are once again flashing their clear incompetence to do their jobs as we approach yet another possible Federal government shutdown on Tuesday. This political process is becoming so common that people are no longer as phased by it though. The common assumption seems to be that the nation’s leaders will bicker until the last second and then agree on a mediocre compromise just to keep the lights on.

But, in the event the politicians don’t pass something, the government employees deemed “essential” will continue to work while the rest are placed on vacation. NASA would be forced to furlough 97% of its workers, but Veterans Affairs would be losing only 4%.
