The smaller version of iPad with a screen size of 7.85-inch is called as iPad Mini from day one in the blogosphere. Many sources have agreed that this can be the real name that Apple will use for this smaller iPad. This new device is expected to be launched in October, which is one month after the launch of Apple’s next generation of iPhone. Previously it was reported that Apple may announce both the devices at one event, but now it seems that Apple may hold two separate events for iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
Recently a Japanese Apple blog named as Macotakara, citing their “Asian sources” posted that this new iPad can be given the name iPad Mini, while the iPod Nano will feature the Wi-Fi connectivity which will allow users to connect to the cloud to access music and iTunes store. Macotakara is a kind of hit and miss blog and therefore we don’t know how much reliable this information is.
According to this blog, the Cupertino company will introduce Wi-Fi connectivity so that consumers are attracted towards the iTunes Store and they will be able to download music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, etc whenever they are connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot. Of course there are not many possibilities as the device is limited by its small screen size. It would be interesting to see in how many ways can we get the advantage of Wi-Fi in this small watch sized device.
