Soros gets a double boost with YPF and Sarepta

Today’s midday gainer is Workday Inc (NYSE:WDAY). The tech company shot up +13.52%, reaching $83.23, thanks to a better-than-expected Q3 earning report. Billionaire Julian Robertson holds 142,000 shares (1.76% of his fund), acquired for $58.87 each. Steve Mandel who owns 3.5 million shares (1.27% of his holdings), purchased for $59.69.

Following Workday, Inc. is YPF SA (NYSE:YPF). It is up +8.06%, reaching $28.81, after the Argentine government struck a deal with Repsol for its expropriation of the energy company last year. Last quarter, George Soros bought 3.9 million shares (0.87% of his fund) of the Argentine firm at $17.87 per asset.

Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRPT) climbed +7.57% to $17.79 today after being upgraded from “sell” to “speculative buy”. This is another hit for Soros, as the billionaire holds 665,000 shares (0.34% of his portfolio), acquired at an average $31.17 each.

Topping off our midday losers list is Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:NUAN), which fell -15.76% to $13.47 when the communications company presented its Q4 earnings report. Also performing poorly today is OGE Energy Corp. (NYSE:OGE). The energy firm dipped -5.97% to $35.65. As of September, George Soros holds 330,000 shares, representing 0.13% of his fund. The investor paid an average price of $65.60 per asset.
