Preorder details for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Those who preorder the phone from Samsung or the Samsung Experience Store will receive their phones at least one day earlier than those who ordered their phones from sellers other than Samsung. The official pricing details of the smartphone have yet to be announced, but the phones are expected to fall under the premium pricing scale.
Goldgenie will also offer the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones in gold. The jeweler will offer three gold versions, including 24k gold, platinum and rose gold. The special models also come with an expensive price tag starting at £1,664. Goldgenie is also set to start taking preorders on Friday. It will start shipping two to three weeks after the official retail launch.
Samsung Galaxy S6 lacks special photo features
New Android phones, including the HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6, won’t come with some of the best photo features in the Camera2 API that came with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phones also won’t support RAW DNG capture and shutter speed. It is possible users could access the same features through third-party apps or a possible future upgrade from Samsung.
Unfortunately for the HTC One M9, the use of Camera2 API is even more limited. The extra image adjustment options and shooting modes do not work with the model. This particular phone does not have legacy functionality; it still runs on the Android 4.4 camera API. This change is most likely a huge disappointment for Android fans and smartphone users who want the latest phone with an improved camera
Right now, the Nexus line of smartphones is the only line that offers all the new features.
