Data management company Rubrik is currently raising somewhere between $150 million and $200 million at a valuation of $1 billion, according to a TechCrunch report. The Palo Alto-based company emerged from stealth in 2015 with a $10 million funding at a $42.5 million valuation, and since then its value has quickly climbed, reaching $610 million last August with a round led by Khosla Ventures.

Rubrik is one of several data backup and security companies to receive significant funding in recent months. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 40 completed deals in the network management software space, per the PitchBook Platform, representing a total of $662 million in capital invested. Among the recipients: cybersecurity company SentinelOne, which pulled in a $70 million round at the end of January, and enterprise security provider ProtectWise, which raised $50.4 million the same month.
