Today’s midday gainers are Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD), Loral Space & Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:LORL) and Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (NYSEMKT:ANV). The losers are FireEye Inc (NASDAQ:FEYE), Kindred Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:KIN) and Tableau Software Inc (NYSE:DATA).

Rite Aid Surges

Today’s top gainer midday is Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD), up +10.31%. The drugstore chain posted better-than-expected results today and jumped to a 52-week high. David Einhorn and Ray Dalio hold RAD assets.

Jumping +5.68% is Loral Space & Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:LORL), which announced that the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan is in talks to acquire one of its business units. Leon Cooperman and George Soro have stakes in the company.

Gold mining company Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (NYSEMKT:ANV) comes in third with a +4.10% increase. The John Paulson holding is currently under investigation for security breaches.

FireEye Price Slides

A Tiger Global Management investment takes the top spot on today’s list of midday losers: FireEye Inc (NASDAQ:FEYE). Its stock price dipped -10.50% after reporting results today but is still up +16.60% YTD.

Down -7.90% is Kindred Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:KIN), a Seth Klarman and Farallon Capital asset. Its price objective was reduced by analysts at Roth Capital, and the market seems to have taken note.

Last up is business analytics software provider Tableau Software Inc (NYSE:DATA), posting a loss of -7.53% midday. The company jumped +6.43% yesterday on news of the addition of several new clients on its pipeline.
