The much awaited Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)/Blackberry R10 photographs have been leaked, and it seems to be posing much bigger battery than the other Blackberry handsets. There is no confirmation whether this new model will launch next week or not.

The image of R10 first leaked on Sina Weibo, a Chinese social site which shows that the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)/Blackberry R10 is packed with a non removable 2,180 mAh battery. If the pictures on Sina Weibo are the right one, then R10 will have more battery power than both Blackberry R10 and Blackberry Q10, which have 1,800 mAh and 2,100 mAh power packs respectively.

On the site, there are other pictures of R10, as well. In a picture posted on the web, the R10 is placed alongside the Q10. On comparing the pictures, one could easily gather that R10 is a bit taller, and the back of the phone is shiny and plastic casing.

Other Expected Features

There will be various color options for Blackberry R10. The pictures leaked are showing R10 in red and white colors. According to the reports, the Blackberry R10 will be priced in the range of between £300 – $400 (£193 – £257) SIM free.

The other features of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)/Blackberry R10 apart from bigger and more powerful battery are 3.1 inch screen with 720 p, 5MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) is taking up on the rivals Android and iOS, but both players are dominating BB10 as of now. The Canadian phone maker is also looking forward to make their app store more attractive.

Further Plans

Thorsten Heins, the CEO of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB), earlier in March, announced that the phone maker will launch more handsets based on BB10 by Christmas. According to him there will be around 3-4 models launched by the end of the year. The target of the Canadian phone maker is to launch Blackberry phones based on OS 10 in three tiers.

Heins further stated that the phones that will be launched on OS 10 of Blackberry will have almost same size of the screen as Blackberry 10 or Blackberry Q10. The idea behind this is that the company wants to strike similarity between the BB10 devices.

The annual conference of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will be held next week in Orlando, and it will be worth watching if R10 is unveiled in the conference.
