So the rumors were true! Nokia today, at the Nokia World Show in Abu Dhabi has unveiled two new Lumia phablets namely, Lumia 1520 and 1320. With these new phablets, the company aims to tackle its rivals in the phablet department.
Nokia’s New Tabs: Lumia 1520 And 1320
So what does these new phablets from Nokia holds for us? Well, as you might have guessed, the first thing that’s worth talking about is the big 6-inch ClearBlack LCD display on both the devices.
Talking about the flagship Lumia 1520, then it comes with a 6-inch display which is running at 1080p. The big screen means that you can do more, such as add an extra column of live tiles on the homescreen and enjoy your favorite games, apps and movies on the big screen like never before.
Nokia and Microsoft might not have concentrated on fitting the latest hardware on its devices, but things change when we’re talking about the Lumia 1520. It sports Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipsets clocked at 2.2 GHz, powered by 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal flash storage, and a microSD card slot for those who require extra room. Nokia has also given importance to the camera, fitting a whopping 20-megapixel Zeiss lens on the Lumia 1520. The phone will also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps with image stabilization.
The 1320 on the other hand sports the same 6-inch display as the 1520, but the device is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor rather than the quad-core one, and 1GB of RAM. It will come with a 5-megapixel camera, and most importantly, a 720p screen compared to the 1080p screen on the 1520.
The Lumia 1520 will be available in yellow, white, black, and glossy red, and it will be available by the end of the year with a price tag of $750 off-contract.
The Lumia 1320 on the other hand is more wallet friendly with a price tag of $340, and it will come in orange, yellow, black, and white from the beginning of 2014 in select Asian markets. Get ready for phablets from Nokia to get big-screen Windows Phone experience.
