The phone by Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V), which is codenamed EOS, will have an AMOLED display panel with 1280x768p resolution. There are no specifics about the size of the screen as of now. The features other than these are FM radio, micro SD support and microHDMI port. The battery of the phone will be 2000mAh unit identical to the battery of Nokia Lumia 920.

As per the reports, the new under process model was tested on QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) Snapdragon 800 quad core chip. However, the battery performance was not good, which failed the experiment. Thus, the company has decided to use a dual core processor for the model as per the reports.

The Micro SD card of the phone will be designed to handle the large 41MP photos clicked with the phone. The phone will be rolled out on AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) network in the United States and after that it will be launched globally within 1-3 months.

According to the report, the company will build 41MP sensor into the EOS, which will be almost like 808 Pure View and will come with features like optical image stabilization and variable aperture lens. The other features included will be Xenon, LED flash Unit and squeezed interface of the camera app. The other feature, which Nokia desires to put in the phone, is 2K and 4K recording, but the testing has shown that, at present, these features are not supported.

At present, Nokia Lumia 920 is the only Windows 8 phone from the house of Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) to have Pure View imaging technology. However, the sensor is smaller at 8.7MP compared to the planned 41Mp of EOS. The Phone maker is also testing Windows RT tablet, which will challenge the rivals such as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Nexus10, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) surface.
