Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) Lumia 920 took away the top spot in terms of Camera when compared to rivals HTC Butterfly, Sony Xperia Z and Blackberry 10, as reported by Times of India.
The Nokia Lumia 920 has 8.7 MP Pure View Camera, which takes best snaps under daylight conditions. The camera comes with the feature-image stabilization, which allows users to click stable and clear photos. However, on viewing the pictures taken by this camera, user may find that images are very soft and lack detailing. Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s pure view camera provides maximum exposure, which lets user take some brilliant low light shots. Further when the images are zoomed in they do not get distorted or any sign of noise in low light or daylight.
The user interface of the Nokia Lumia camera comes with lenses stuffed with options like Panorama, Cinemagraph, Smart Shoot and Bing Vision. GIF images are created through Cinemagraph adding Zing even to the normal shots.
The camera is also capable of clicking several images in a single shot, which facilitates the user to select the best from all the shots taken. One feature where Nokia Lumia could not deliver is face detection, which is a bit surprising since many top notch smartphones are coming with this feature.
Overall, Nokia Lumia camera was the best Smartphone Camera available at present. Its tremendous features like Cinemagraph take it miles ahead than the competitors. Smartphone users having Android OS can download Fotodanz from Google Play, but it is not as refined as Lumia.
The Snapper of Blackberry Z10, unlike its old models has a good camera with good quality shots and Time shifts making a good pick for those who want to take the best photo out of the multiple shots. The 8 MP camera of BB10 takes good and sharp low light images with almost perfect color saturation. Sony Xperia camera is quite good with sharp images and a good amount of details although it lacks on color saturation. HTC Butterfly camera lacks detailing and has poor colors. The phone has burst feature but does not have any trendy features like Cinemagraph of Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) or Time shift by BB10.
So for users, who are more inclined towards a good camera as a necessity in a high end smartphone, Nokia Lumia 920 is a clear pick. On the other hand, Blackberry is the choice for users who want enterprise features with a good snapper. Sony Xperia caters to those wanting high quality cameras with high MP and Android OS.
