The concept of smart homes is becoming increasingly popular today. We’re increasingly seeing smart home products that automate various tasks and can be controlled by our smartphones. Link smart LED bulb can be control from anywhere
Enter the “Link” smart LED bulb from General Electric Company (NYSE:GE). Unlike other smart LED bulbs which can be controlled from only a short distance, Link bulbs can be controlled from anywhere as long as you have a working Internet connection. To control this LED bulb, you’ll need to install the Wink app, which also allows you tweak the settings for the bulb.
The Link bulb claims to be energy efficient, and it uses 80% less power than traditional bulbs. These bulbs are available for three key lighting applications:
60-watt replacement soft white (2700K) LED bulb, or A19 shape, commonly used for general lighting in table and floor lamps.
Indoor soft white (2700K) floodlight LED, or BR30 shape, installed as downlighting found in dining room, living room or other entertainment spaces.
Indoor/outdoor-rated bright white (3000K) spotlight LED, or PAR 38, used for outdoor security or spotlight.

Pricing of the Link smart LED bulb starts from $15, and you can pre-order it right now through the Home Depot’s website. The bulb will be sold in brick-and-mortar Home Depot stores starting this fall.
Google has also become a player in the smart home products category with the acquisition of Nest Labs and its thermostat system, and Apple has also been rumored to be quietly working on smart home hardware, which makes perfect sense as the company announced its HomeKit initiative at the Worldwide Developers Conference earlier this month.
