Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 5 is available at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) with Straight Talk Wireless on a pre-paid basis, without any contract, for $45 per month starting on Friday.
The Straight Talk plan offers two contractless flavors: a $45 version with unlimited talk, text, and data plan or a $60 plan, which includes unlimited international calls to select countries. In its exclusive offer to Walmart customers, the wireless company claims to have saved users around $950 a year, after switching from traditional unlimited plans.
“We believe customers shouldn’t have to choose between saving money and having the latest technology,” said senior vice president of Entertainment for Walmart U.S. Seong Ohm.
Before the introduction of this offer, the iPhone5 had been available at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) with a two-year contract only. With this promotion, however, the iPhone Straight Talk is offering a $45 per month no contract unlimited talk, text, and data plan exclusively at Walmart.

According to Wal-mart’s official press release, the pricing and details of iPhones for Straight Talk are given below:
- iPhone 5 will be available in black and white for $649 for the 16GB model only
- iPhone 4 will be available in black and white for $449 for the 8GB model only
Pricing for the Straight Talk no-contract plans include:
- $45 – No Contract Monthly Plan with Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text, and Data.
- $60 – No Contract Monthly Plan with Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text, and Data plus Unlimited International Calls to more than 1,000 destinations in Mexico, Canada, India, and in other countries.
