Today’s top gainer is Vitamin Shoppe Inc (NYSE:VSI), a nutritional products retailer. Its stock price increased +14.16% to $51.04 after presenting better-than-expected Q3 earnings. Tiger Global acquired 650,000 shares for $48.07 last quarter, representing 0.51% of its portfolio.

The second company on our daily gainers list is Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL). The tech company is up +8.91%, now trading at $13.08. According to Bloomberg, another tech firm, KKR & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR), has acquired almost 5% of MRVL – a likely explanation for the stock’s price surge. Billionaire David Einhorn holds 44.2 million shares, representing 9.73% of his fund. The investor paid an average price of $11.04 per share.

Last up is Icahn Enterprises LP (NASDAQ:IEP). The finance stock rose +7.65% to $117.10 following a solid Q3 earnings report. Carl Icahn owns more than 99.2 million shares, the fund represent 33.56% of his portfolio. Icahn paid an average price of $64.07 per share.

Topping off our list of daily losers this Tuesday is Dex Media Inc (NASDAQ:DXM). The company, which provides local, social, and mobile marketing solutions, took a huge hit today, dipping -29.78% to $4.81 in the wake of a missed earnings target. Billionaire John Paulson purchased 2.2 million shares for $16.64 last quarter. This position represents 0.28% of the billionaire’s fund.

Following Dex Media is BioFuel Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:BIOF). The energy company another case of missed earnings expectations, dipping -12.03% to $2.85. As of June, David Einhorn holds 1.4 million shares (0.09% of his portfolio) acquired at $19.34. Another investor with BIOF stakes is Daniel Loeb.
