Now this is big news for those who hate their stock Android keyboards. Google has just released its Google Keyboard app for smartphones and tablets running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up. The new app by Google can now be freely downloaded from Google Play Store, although currently only available for English-speaking locales, but Google says that support for more countries will be added soon.
The new Google Keyboard app provides gesture typing experience which lets you glide through letters to form a word, and just lift your finger to enter a space. This method is far more convenient and fast, compared to traditional method of tapping on each of the letters. Also the app provides automatic error correction, and word predictions. You can also tap the microphone icon to compose messages with voice typing. It features dictionaries for 26 languages, plus keyboard layouts for a dozen more.
