Kickstarter is a very innovative place where many products have had their inception. This time, we’re talking about a new iPad case on Kickstarter named Flux+Flap that’s flexible enough for nearly any viewing angle. As per the creators of this project, this is the “World’s first iPad case using magnets for unlimited angles and positions.”
Flux+Flap solves the age old problem of adjusting the case to only a handful of viewing angles. This case comes with a patent pending magnet system known as Position Plus which allows you to set any viewing angle that you’re comfortable with.
Kenny Trythall on the new iPad Case
“We wanted to create an iPad case that was sleek and more usable,” said Kenny Trythall, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development & Marketing. “Most cases support and protect the iPad but restrict the users viewing angles. With people constantly moving and shifting positions to stay comfortable we set out to create a case that offers freedom from the dreaded ‘awkward angle’, no matter your body position. The Flux+Flap is everything that your current iPad case is and so much more.”
This iPad case is made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and durable polycarbonate. The design is minimal but surely grabs one’s attention. This case would be available for the iPad Mini, iPad 2, 3, 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini with Retina display. The first batch of the Flux+Flap is scheduled to be delivered to backers by Spring 2014.
Flux+Flaps for other tablets
The project creators also plan to develop Flux+Flaps for additional brands such as the Kindle Fire HD, Samsung Galaxy Note, Google Nexus, Nook, etc., as well as some accessories that would work with the magnetic flap cover like a stylus, desktop mount and removable keyboard.
Flux+Flap surely seems promising but only time will tell if the project will get fully funded on Kickstarter or not. At the time of writing, there are 62 backers, with $4,392 already pledged of $35,000 goal. Early backers can get it for $49.
