New York, NY -  May 2, 2018 - CoinDesk, Inc., the leading digital media, events and information services company for the crypto and blockchain community, will launch the CoinDesk Career Center, a job board catered to the rapidly growing ecosystem. The job board will allow employers and candidates to interact to sequester the most promising talent for engineers, developers, and business management roles. The announcement comes as The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and CoinDesk kick-off Blockchain Week New York City, which will run May 11th through May 17th. The week of events are anchored by CoinDesk’s fourth annual Consensus blockchain summit. Additionally, the first-ever Blockchain Job Fair will kick-off Wednesday, May 16th and is free to any member of the public.

CoinDesk Director of Marketing Jacob Donnelly said, “CoinDesk’s decision to incorporate a job board was simple. We are already where millions of people come for their day-to-day coverage of the ecosystem who bring the requisite skills that many companies need to continue scaling. We’ve heard from many companies that filling key roles is one of their major pain points, so we feel that the CoinDesk Career Center is the perfect vehicle to help connect talented employees with the rapidly growing disruptors.”

The job fair will commence Wednesday, May 16th and will run from 2:00 p.m. ET - 5:00 p.m. ET. Some of the companies exhibiting at the job fair include IBM, Accenture, Deloitte, ConsenSys, Ripple, KPMG and Ledger. The purpose of the joint initiative is to not only boost blockchain-related employment opportunities in New York, but also establish New York City as a growing hub for the blockchain community. Attendees can register for the free job fair at https://www.coindesk.com/events/consensus-2018/job-fair/.

“New York City is the perfect climate to grow the blockchain industry and we are proud that the NYCEDC is supporting the city’s job growth in an industry that will inevitably change our world and impact all trades, including real estate, agriculture, finance, and healthcare,” said CoinDesk Vice President of Events and Sales Peter Bordes. “Our goal behind the fair is to create an opportunity for Consensus attendees, local college students, industry leaders, and the community to meet.”

CoinDesk, which hosts the perennially sold out Consensus each May, attracts thousands of blockchain programmers, software developers, corporate executives, traders, investors, institutions and money managers to their marquee event. Consensus will be held at the Hilton Midtown May 14-16, the same location as the job fair.
