Many of us open dozens of tabs in Safari on our iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. There’s no problem with multi-tasking and moving between tabs; but when you’re done with your web surfing session, you’ll need to close all those open tabs. Closing all those 10 or 20 open tabs take time and is not a good user experience.

Wouldn’t it be great if there’s a way to quickly close all those open tabs in Safari on iOS 7? Well, fortunately, there’s a quick workaround to do this.

Closing all open tabs at once in Safari for iOS 7

Launch the Safari browser on your iOS device and then open all the tabs. To close the tabs, you would normally swipe away each open tab or tap on the X icon, but instead of doing that, open a new tab and tap on the Private button on the bottom of the screen.

You’ll now be able to see a prompt asking whether you want to close all tabs, keep all tabs or cancel. Tap on “Close All.”

This will instantly close all your open tabs and then open a new Private tab. Tap on Private again to disable the private browsing mode. So that’s all you need to do.

With this method, you can close all open tabs in Safari in a jiffy.
