The Broadway hit “Hamilton: An American Musical” has sparked unprecedented interest in Alexander Hamilton’s life and created a community of fans that bridges all demographics and ages, many of whom now swarm New York sites with any connection to Hamilton’s life. Local author Bryan Barreras explains how his obsession with the show led to the creation of his book and takes you on a virtual tour of several of the locations central to the events depicted in Hamilton, and he explains the connections between the show’s songs and these locations.
About the Speaker
Bryan Barreras is a first-time author and unabashed fan of “Hamilton.” He lives in Manhattan with his wife, kids and Jack Russell terrier. Previously, he was a lawyer at an investment bank and at a white-shoe law firm, both in New York. In addition to promoting his book, he serves on the board of Bloomingdale School of Music, an Upper West Side mainstay providing open access to music education for more than 50 years.
About the Museum
The Museum of American Finance is the nation’s only independent museum dedicated to preserving, exhibiting and teaching about American finance and financial history.
