BlackBerry Offering Discount On DTEK50 And DTEK60 In Valentine’s Day Sale

The BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 are both available on BlackBerry’s online store with special offers for Valentine’s Day, according to CrackBerry. TCL produced these handsets, which were later re-branded to add the BlackBerry name, its Android version with Hub and other special features. A convenience key was added as well.

DTEK50 and DTEK60 have impressive specs

The DTEK50 is basically a revised Alcatel Idol 4 that features a 5.2-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 617 SoC that comes with an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB (of which 10GB is available to a user). The storage can be extended up to 2TB. The DTEK50 boasts a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP wide-angle front camera. It sports a 2610mAh battery and runs Android 6.0.

The DTEK60 is based on the TCL 950 and sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. It comes with Snapdragon 820 chipset containing a quad-core 2.15GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. The device has 4GB of RAM and builtin storage of 32GB. Additional storage can be accessed via a 2TB capacity microSD slot.

The handset has a fingerprint scanner as well and sports a 21MP camera on the rear with an aperture of f/2.0, while the front camera is 8MP. The device packs a powerful 3,000mAh battery and comes with Android 6.0 pre-installed.

After the discount, the prices of the DTEK50 and DTEK60 in Canada are $344 and $597, while their regular prices are $429 and $650, respectively. In the U.S., the DTEK50 is available for $259 instead of the regular $299, while the DTEK60 is available for $449 instead of the regular $499 (link to purchase HERE).

In the U.K., the DTEK50 and DTEK60 are available at £255 and £442 instead of £275 and £475, respectively. In Germany, France and Europe, the DTEK50 and DTEK60 are available on ShopBlackBerry for €296 and €513 respectively, instead of a regular price of €339 and €579.

The current offer is a good opportunity for buyers who are interested in buying the device but have been holding out for a while. It would be a really special gift for those receiving it from their significant other. However, buyers,who do not wish to buy these handsets can wait for the BlackBerry Mercury, which will be released soon. The handset is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show later this month.
